About a week ago I received a text message from someone informing me they were told that the world is coming to an end on May 21, 2011. I respectfully directed them to the Bible.
There are many well meaning people, even professing Christians who are predicting that the world is coming to an end on May 21, 2011. Whether it be the “rapture” or a catastrophic disaster (for some if they are not raptured, it will be a catastrophic disaster)….for if this is true, on May 22nd we will all be singing, “There’s Got To Be A Morning After”.
But should we be surprised that as some are consulting psychics, mediums, “spiritual advisors” and such, to give confirmation of this, the Bible is the last source that is consulted. Why? It’s the trick of the enemy to take the focus away from what is truth. It is merely a smoke screen. The predictions only talk about the end of the world. Nothing is said of the coming of Christ. It is part of the enemy’s mission to get you to believe that Christ has nothing to do with the end of the world. Oh, but He does!
If you read Matthew 24, it is clear that “no one knows the day or the hour, but the Father, not even Jesus, as to when the Lord will come”. What we should be and need to be focusing on is the salvation of our souls. Are you saved? The Bible says, the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And that’s the gospel truth!
God Bless You,
Pamela
